Police said they arrested a man who led them on a chase from Fort Worth to Grand Prairie Thursday night.
A Fort Worth police officer tried to pull over the driver of a 1998 Ford pickup truck in the 400 block of North Beach Street at about 10:55 p.m. The driver of the vehicle refused to pull over and attempted to flee in the vehicle.
Officers followed the driver east into Dallas County, where he stopped on railroad tracks near Jefferson Street and Texas 161.
The driver fled on foot from the vehicle and ran inside a nearby QuikTrip convenience store. Police said they followed him into the store and arrested him.
Police said they charged the driver with evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
