Garland firefighters battled a 2-alarm fire Tuesday morning that gutted part of a home along Mosswood Drive.
The fire was spotted after 11 a.m. near the intersection of Mosswood and Jupiter Road.
Smoke and flames could be seen pouring through the roof as firefighters worked in high heat to squelch the blaze.
It is not yet known if anyone was home at the time; no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
