An argument over a cigarette might have led to a stabbing in Dallas early Tuesday morning.
Just after midnight, officers found a man with a stab wounds to his chest on Elm Street in Deep Ellum.
Police said the victim was approached by a homeless man who wanted a cigarette.
Officers said the two got into a fight and the homeless man allegedly stabbed the victim.
The victim was taken to a hospital in serious condition while the homeless man was taken to the hospital in police custody.
