Two North Texas residents died in separate house fires this weekend, fire officials in Dallas and Irving said.
Moses Jones, 59, of Dallas, was killed in a one-alarm fire in the 2800 block of Britton Avenue on Sunday morning. Another person was injured and treated on the scene.
Emergency workers said the house was in flames when they arrived.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
In Irving, Kenneth Wood, 68, died in a separate one-alarm house fire in the 1500 block of West Shady Grove Road late Saturday night.
Irving firefighters said the fire had extinguished itself when they arrived at about midnight. They discovered Wood during a search of the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
