A body was found by a Duncanville police officer while he was searching in a heavily wooded area by a creek Thursday morning.

The officer found the man's body behind the intersection of Santa Fe Trail and Danieldale Road in Duncanville. Once the fire department arrived, they pronounced him dead.

Right now, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is trying to identify the man, and also find out how he died.

While the man's identity has not been confirmed, police are continuing to look for an 84-year-old man reported missing Monday.

The investigation is still ongoing, police said. NBC 5 will update this story with more details when other information is available.
