A major traffic alert in North Texas this weekend as part of Interstate 35W will be closed Friday night into Saturday morning in Fort Worth.
A warning about the closure has been sent throughout the state and even into Oklahoma.
Construction crews are demolishing half of the 28th Street bridge as part of the 35W widening project.
It's the eighth busiest stretch of Texas highway and it will be devoid of traffic, at least on the main lanes.

"There will still be mobility north and south because we're going to force everybody to the frontage roads, but there will be delays associated with that," said Heather DeLapp of North Tarrant Express, which is building the project.
Since crews are demolishing the bridge, the first one in the southern section of the project, traffic cannot safely pass below. Traffic on the bridge will also be detoured around the area.
Once a new northside of the bridge is built, the remaining half of the old bridge will be demolished in a similar fashion. It's a sign of many closures to come as the $1.4 billion project is set to last until 2018.
"But we'll be able to perform a lot of the work in the night time hours and on the weekends, so that it's not as impactful or it's less painful as we like to say," DeLapp said.
For businesses along 28th Street, they say there's not much they can do but deal with the closure.
The owner of Best Donuts did tell NBC 5 he is concerned the closure could eat into his Saturday morning business.
"We know that it's a big weekend, we've got the TCU game and Santa is coming to the Stockyards," DeLapp said. "And so we've made some adjustments to try and get the roadway opened a little bit earlier than planned."
The closure starts at 9 p.m. on Friday and is set to last until 10 a.m. Saturday, but DeLapp said construction crews are hoping to finish earlier than that.
North Tarrant Express will alert drivers, who signed up for alerts when the roadway re-opens.
