A woman who asked not to be identified bought the Lotto Texas ticket that's worth $13 million.
The owner of the Finamart in Lewisville where the ticket was purchased tells the Lewisville Leader he knows the name of the woman, but said that she asked him not to reveal her name to the media.
The woman told the Texas Lottery Commission that she selected numbers instead of letting the computer quick-pick her numbers.
The winner also chose annual payments, which means she will receive $390,000 after taxes each year for the next 25 years.
"Since the jackpot was in December, the winner would be wise to wait until January to claim the prize money in order to avoid paying 2008 income taxes on it," said Leticia Vasquez, Texas Lottery Commission spokeswoman.
