  1. Get the day started by having cake for breakfast. Okay, maybe not... but you can attend the 2017 State Fair of Texas Cake Contest. 3. The kids will enjoy this next attraction, the feeding demo's at the Children's Aquarium. This is where kids of all ages can have a hands-on experience with a hermit crab or even feed a sting-ray. Additional admission is required to get into the aquarium.
  4. You can also check out the "Lone Star Stampede" inside the Pan Am Arena. There are 4 show times on Friday, 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. & 6 p.m.
