4 Killed in Fatal West Texas Crash

A mother and three of her children have been killed in a West Texas crash that left two other relatives hurt.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the collision happened late Sunday morning on Interstate 10, about 31 miles east of Fort Stockton.

The victims were from El Paso.

The DPS said an SUV driven by 39-year-old Stephanie Ann Garza was eastbound when a tire blew. The vehicle rolled. Garza died at the scene.

The crash also claimed the lives of her 18-year-old daughter, Taylor, and her two sons -- 14-year-old Peter James and 11-year-old Jessie.

The woman's 38-year-old husband, Peter William Garza, and their 6-year-old daughter, Samantha, were hospitalized. The girl was in satisfactory condition Monday. Hospital officials didn't immediately provide a condition on the girl's father.
