13 Injured in School Bus Crash

Fort Worth police say 13 students suffered minor injuries when their stopped school bus was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a fellow student.

Police said the Tuesday morning crash happened at an intersection in north Fort Worth. The bus was struck by a sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old student. Police did not immediately indicate whether the teen would be cited.

Sgt. Chad Mahaffey said the bus carried the driver and 36 passengers. Neither driver was injured.

A spokeswoman for the Northwest Independent School District in Justin, Lesley Weaver, said all of the students attend Northwest High School.

Mahaffey said 13 students complained of pain. NISD says another bus transported the injured students to a hospital to be checked out.
