If you ever end up in the ER at HEB's Harris Methodist Hospital, know you're in good hands.
On Tuesday, Denver-based Healthgrades named the hospital in Bedford as one of the best hospitals in the country for emerency care.
The grade was tabulated by evaluating the records of more than 7 million Medicare patients who visited the ER between 2008 and 2010 with one of 12 ailments.
The 263 hospitals that make up the Top 5 percent in the study were awarded the Emergency Medicine Excellence Award.
Harris HEB is one of 16 hospitals in Texas to win the award and the only one in the DFW Metroplex to receive the honor this year.
