Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton finished 7th in the voting for American League Most Valuable Player.
Hamilton received 2 third place votes and 112 overall.
Hamilton hit .304 with 98 runs scored, 32 home runs and a league-leading 130 RBIs for the Rangers.
He was selected to the AL All-Star team in his second season in the Major Leagues and was voted into the starting lineup.
Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Predoia won the award.
