Ghostbusters 3 Is In The Works

Dan Aykroyd has revealed that a sequel to Ghostbusters is really in the works.

Aykroyd did a Web chat with Boston.com and the first question out of the gate was about Ghostbusters 3.

Aykroyd said the script (penned by two writer/producers for "The Office") is in the works and that they "hope to be in production by late fall 2009."

Another Ghostbuster backs up Aykroyd.

Harold Ramis who co-wrote and starred in the first two movies as Dr. Egon Spengler gave a few hints in an interview with MTV.

Ramis says all of the original stars will take part in the updated version. "We're going to be the sage mentors. There are going to be young Ghostbusters," Ramis told MTV.

What the El!?! Editorial:

So this is what it has come to, we're going to remake everything.

Rumors have been floating that Judd Apatow is involved in the movie, but Columbia Pictures is shooting that down.

So now the guessing game begins some suggest Apatow and his movie buds Paul Rudd and Seth Rogan would be a perfect fit.
