Fort Worth's Ridglea to Get a Facelift

Apparently The Ridglea Theatre will live to throw another show thanks to Gas-Pipe Smoke Shop owner, Jerry Shults, who signed a contract to purchase the iconic Fort Worth venue yesterday. The future of the Ridglea has been hazy since the old owners went bankrupt last year. Not only did The Ridglea dodge the demolition bullet, but Shults plans to restore the venue to its original art deco-ish grandeur, plus ease it away from its most recent metal magnet incarnation and transform it into the Fort Worth version of the Granada Theatre in Dallas, which spells more smart indie rock for our futures.
