Wrong-way Driver in Cadillac Causes Deadly Pileup on Dallas North Tollway

An overnight pileup caused by a driver going the wrong way on the Dallas North Tollway killed one person and hurt five other people, authorities say.The crash happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday on the tollway at the Maple Avenue overpass in Oak Lawn.A Cadillac CTS headed north in the southbound lanes crashed into a Chevrolet Impala and a Nissan Altima, state troopers said.Four passengers in the Nissan were seriously injured, and its driver died at the scene. The Cadillac's driver was also injured and taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment.The crash remains under investigation, said Lonny Haschel, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Continue reading...
