Woman Wanted in 2017 Old East Dallas Homicide Caught Trying to Cross U.S.-Mexico Border

A woman charged with murder in a July 2017 Dallas case was taken into custody as she tried to cross the Gateway International Bridge last week.Police believe Antonia Gabriela de la Fuente, 44, shot 50-year-old Eric Gray in the 3200 block of Samuell Boulevard, near Samuell-Grand Park, around 5:30 a.m. on July 15, 2017.Gray died of his injuries Jan 19, 2019.As de la Fuente, a U.S. citizen, tried to cross the border to her Brownsville home, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers noticed the murder warrant and took her into custody.De la Fuente was taken from the Brownsville Port of Entry to the Cameron County jail, then transferred to the Dallas County jail where she remains with bail set at $250,000 for the murder charge.Jail records also showed four outstanding warrants from Balch Springs, charging her with speeding, driving with an invalid license and failure to appear.  Continue reading...
