Whataburger Employee Says She Was Fired After Robbers Took Money From Her at Gunpoint

An employee at a Whataburger in Terrell says she was fired just hours after her store was robbed by two gunmen this week.Augenia Webb, 40, was the overnight manager at the fast-food eatery on FM148 when two armed men burst in around 5 a.m. Monday. The robbers, whose faces were covered with bandannas, ordered customers to the floor and demanded money from a cash register.They also made a manager — Webb — go into a back office to get more money, police said.Webb told KXAS-TV (NBC5) that her general manager fired her via text message later that day because she didn't follow the company's rules on transferring cash to the safe."It's really traumatizing when you have a gun put to your head and you're told to do stuff and you find out just a couple of hours later that you've lost your job on top of it," she said.  Continue reading...
