Watch Live: Memorial Service for Former Texas Gov. Mark White

A memorial service for former Texas Gov. Mark White is under way at the Second Baptist Church in Houston, with former President George W. Bush as one of the speakers. Luci Baines Johnson, daughter of former President Lyndon B. Johnson, also will speak at Wednesday's service.On Thursday, White will lay in state from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday in the Capitol Rotunda in Austin and will be buried in the Texas State Cemetery.White, 77, died Saturday at his Houston home. The 43rd governor of Texas, White ushered in education reforms that remain in place today, including limits on elementary class size, "no pass, no play" policy for high school athletes, and the first-ever statewide testing standards.  Continue reading...
