As we wrap up 2016, here's a look back at some of the stories The Dallas Morning News has covered visually in both video and photo form. Check out the below video for the recap. The year started with the continued cleanup and recovery from the nine tornadoes that killed 11 people and ended with the Dallas Cowboys clinching a playoff spot. The biggest story of the year happened on July 7, when 5 Dallas police officers were killed in an ambush downtown. Our coverage continued with candlelight vigils and officer funerals.Sports related stories also made big headlines in 2016.
