Watch: ‘Heroic Actions' by Mansfield Cops Prevent Teen's Apparent Suicide Attempt

Police have released a video that shows officers rescuing a man who they say was threatening to jump onto a Mansfield highway.The alleged suicide attempt took place about 3:40 a.m., when police received a call about a man sitting alone on the outside ledge of Lone Star Road, an overpass on U.S. Highway 287.Officers arrived to find the 19-year-old man sitting on the concrete wall of the bridge facing outward, toward highway traffic below. Police posted video of the incident Thursday on Facebook, saying it was “apparent that he was likely contemplating the taking of his own life by jumping onto the highway.”  Continue reading...
