UT Southwestern Ranks as Top Hospital in North Texas. Here's How Its Competitors Compare

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is the top hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth and the second best in the state in U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking.In Texas, only Houston Methodist Hospital scores higher than UT Southwestern. This year's rankings examine 4,653 facilities nationwide in overall care, and 16 specialty areas. North Texas hospitals are among the state's highest performers, with several in the top 50 rankings for specific specialties. Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas ranks fourth in the state overall, joining UT Southwestern in the state’s top 10. No North Texas hospital made the rankings' top 20 honor roll, which measures excellence across all specialties. Houston Methodist Hospital tied for 20th.
