UNT Partners With China in Dual-degree Program

University of North Texas President Neal Smatresk recently went to Dailan City in eastern China to present degrees to five students in the China Transfer Program.The students received degrees from both UNT and their home institutions in China. They spent their first year in China, then two years at UNT and the final year in China.The program is run by the China Center for International Education Exchange and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Only one university per U.S. state is selected to take part. UNT has been the choice in Texas since fall of 2012. "It's always an honor to award degrees to UNT graduates, and even more so, to be invited to present them to international students in their home country," Smatresk said in a news release. Dragon ToastmastersTexas Dragon Toastmasters Club recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
