Texas Father Arrested After 2-year-old Kills Himself With Gun Left on Kitchen Table

Police in Corpus Christi have arrested the father of a 2-year-old who fatally shot himself in the family's home.Ryan Morales accidentally shot himself in the eye around 11 a.m. Sunday after finding a loaded gun on the kitchen table, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports.He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.Eric Javier Morales, 22, was arrested on a charge of criminally negligent homicide after speaking to detectives at the hospital. He was being held Monday at the Nueces County Jail, with bail set at $50,000.Police said Morales was not home at the time of the shooting, but Ryan's mother and 1-year-old brother were.  Continue reading...
