Suspect in Stolen Sports Car Leads Authorities on Chase Through Denton, Dallas Counties

A suspect in a stolen sports car stolen led authorities on a chase from Denton County to Dallas County overnight, police said. Lewisville police reported the red coupe stolen. Carrollton officers spotted it traveling on Interstate 35E and started to pursue it into Irving. The driver crashed outside a bank near State Highway 161 and North MacArthur Boulevard about midnight Tuesday. The suspect then fled on foot. Officers set up a perimeter and the Texas Department of Public Safety's helicopter helped search for the suspect, who's believed to still be at large.
