Substitute Teacher Fired After Porn Film Staged After-hours in South Texas Classroom

A substitute teacher in a southern Texas town was fired after allegedly filming pornographic videos after-hours in a classroom. So far, the teacher for the El Campo school district is not accused of committing a crime, authorities say. No students or school staff were involved in last month's video shoot, and the only video that shows another person in it was clearly shot off-campus, El Campo Police Chief Terry Stanphill told the Victoria Advocate.Public lewdness is the only charge that could fit the offense, Stanphill said, but the evidence to support a charge is questionable."The reason that they did not find evidence was because the suspect had closed the door and had clothes on and was not reckless about their conduct so that someone else could see them or be offended by it," Stanphill told the newspaper.El Campo, a city of 11,602, is in Wharton County between Houston and Corpus Christi. The videos were produced at El Campo High School, police said. The substitute, who was not named, had been with the district three months. The district released a statement about the incident, referring to it as a "criminal incident.""The incident involved a singular substitute teacher and no student or other district staff members were involved," the statement read. "The district has terminated the substitute's employment and is seeking legal advice on this specific incident."  Continue reading...
