Spouse Accidentally Shot Off-duty Hospital Officer in the Back, Terrell Police Say

An off-duty hospital police officer was accidentally shot in the back by his spouse Tuesday night in Terrell, police said.Police said the shooting was an accidental discharge and occurred about 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Pebble Creek Lane, near North Frances Street. The man, a police officer for a hospital in the Methodist Health System, was taken to a nearby parking lot where he was airlifted to a Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, police said.
