Students are being evacuated from residential housing at Southern Methodist University after a power outage on campus Tuesday. The school announced the outage about 4:15 p.m. and said later that night that it was expected to last four to five hours. Classes were also cancelled Tuesday night. All on-campus personnel and residents were asked to take overnight essentials and be out by 7 p.m."Seek alternative housing with friends, family where possible.
