Showers Likely Tuesday

This cold, Arctic air mass will stay in place for the next couple of days. As moisture moves in ahead of the next storm system, we could see some patch drizzle develop tonight. But, the better chance of rain arrives tomorrow. As the next storm system moves into the region tomorrow, we will see more widespread (and much-needed) showers. Showers will develop during the day and continue into the evening hours. A flash of lightning or rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out, but mainly just rain. We will have to keep an eye on whether or not it cools down quickly Tuesday evening. If that were to happen, we could see a changeover to some light freezing rain. Again, that's IF it cools down fast. Right now, it appears we will stay as just plain rain ... but stay tuned! Temperatures will quickly climb by late in the week. Highs will be in the mid 60s for Friday We will, however, be keeping an eye on another storm system to give us another opportunity for much-needed rain on Saturday. TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold.
