A man who was shot by Mesquite police after he was mistaken for a burglar has filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city and the officer involved.Lyndo Jones, 31, was seriously wounded Nov. 8 as police responded to reports of a vehicle break-in. Jones had accidentally set off the alarm in his pickup that night.Jones alleges that the city and officer violated his Fourth Amendment and civil rights.
