Santa Cop Makes Stops in Addison

Helping families in need during the Christmas season has been a mission of the Addison Police Department's Santa Cop program for the last 20 years. This year Santa Cop had the goal of "handing a toy out to every child in Addison," said Lt. Denise Keith.With a pistol on his hip, a Christmas tree, some blue stockings, and large boxes filled with presents all wrapped in bright, festive colors, Santa Cop headed out on his mobile Christmas village. Making five stops all around Addison, he hoped to reach 500 to 1,000 kids.
