John McCain have had an arms-length and often frosty relationship. On Friday, Mr. Johnson endorsed Mr. McCain for president in an exclusive interview, and he'll stump with him in Lubbock and Waco on Monday - setting aside past disagreements on immigration, torture and other issues. "I understand that we haven't agreed totally on everything," Mr. Johnson said by phone from Plano. "It's time to get behind the front-runner. We need to make sure we win the election."
