Rodney Moore, Dallas OB-GYN Who Delivered Thousands of Babies, Dies at 87

Dr. Rodney Carl Moore had intended to be a surgeon until he discovered the joy of delivering babies.While learning to become an OB-GYN in the early 1960s, he delivered as many as 50 babies a day at Parkland Memorial Hospital. In his private Dallas practice, he delivered over 6,000 more.Moore, 87, died Aug. 19 in Dallas of colon cancer.A memorial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Truett Chapel at First Baptist Church Dallas, where he was a member.  Continue reading...
