Plano Man Faces 10-20 Years Behind Bars for Child Porn His Probation Officer Found on Phone

A Plano man faces at least 10 years in prison after being found guilty of possessing child pornography, his second conviction for the crime.Hayden Ricks, 27, was found guilty Monday after a bench trial before U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone, according to the U.S. attorney's office.Ricks was on probation for a 2013 conviction and agreed to be supervised by Collin County probation officer as part of his plea deal.In September, his supervising officer asked to see Rick's cell phone and discovered several images of suspected child pornography, prosecutors said. The cell phone was handed over to a Collin County sheriff's investigators, who interviewed Ricks with an FBI agent. He admitted accessing the child porn, and investigators located more than 1,000 pages of internet history confirming as much on his phone.  Continue reading...
