NorthPark Center Buys Into Virtual Reality as a New Mall Experience With Dreamscape Opening

NorthPark Center, known for its artwork, landscaping and best-in-class retailing, is about to open an entertainment technology venue called Dreamscape.The California-based Dreamscape virtual reality experience that counts among its investor Oscar winner Steven Spielberg, Nickelodeon, MGM Studios and AMC, opens only its second U.S. location at NorthPark on Aug. 15.This follows the Dallas mall's recent announcement that Eataly, one of the hottest global food concepts, will open a three-level store and food hall in 2020.NorthPark is considered a leader in the U.S. mall industry, regularly landing on top mall lists, but so far hasn't gone the interactive entertainment route of adding aquariums, indoor ski slopes and children's play themed areas among other fee-paying experiences.  Continue reading...
