NBC5 Forecast: Warmer Weather on the Way

From NBC5 meteorologist Brian James - Get ready for another cold night tonight with mid to upper 30s on tap for DFW and some outlying areas dropping to around freezing. Thankfully the wind will decrease considerably tonight. There will be some slight improvement to the weather on Sunday, but it's still going to be a cool day. With a mix of clouds and sunshine to begin the day ... and mostly sunny sky in the afternoon ... we will climb back up into the middle 60s by Sunday afternoon. On the downside, the wind will ramp back up to the 10 to 20 mph range. That will add a bit of a chill to the air Sunday afternoon. A wind shift line will move through North Texas Sunday night. That will bring the wind back around to the northeast on Monday and Tuesday ... and while it won't cool us down, it will slow down our warm up for a couple of days. Monday and Tuesday will have highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Warmer weather really starts taking over again for the middle and latter part of next week. By Friday, the chance for showers and storms also goes up.Latest Video Forecast  Continue reading...
