NBC5 Forecast: Rain in North Texas, Hurricane Warning Along Texas Coast

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today across North Texas. Severe weather is not expected, but there may be some heavy downpours and lightning. Temperatures will remain below normal for several days.We are keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm Harvey which is soon to become a hurricane. Rapid strengthening is underway with this system. Life threatening conditions are expected along the coast late Friday. Severe flooding will affect areas inland with 10-20 inches of rain possible. Whether or not some of the moisture from Harvey can make it up into North Texas remains in question.
