Dangerous heat will continue through Friday, with high temperatures at or above 100 degrees across much of North Texas. The heat index will range between 104 and 109 degrees. As a result, a Heat Advisory remains in effect for most of North Texas. The only exception is in our western counties, where lower humidity will make the heat a little more tolerable.A weak cold front will slide across the Red River on Saturday, bringing a chance for a few showers and a bit of a break in the heat.
