NBC 5 Forecast: Hottest Weather Yet

The heat is expected to crank-up even higher this week. Today's high will be near 102 with a heat index of 105-110. The Heat Advisory will be upgraded to an Excessive Heat Warning Tuesday. Tuesday will be the hottest day so far this year with a high of 103 and the heat index will exceed 110. Please take the heat seriously and watch for signs of heat exhaustion.Some relief from the heat arrives by mid-week. There will be a chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night into Wednesday as a weak cold front drops into the area.
