Nation's Report Card Reveals That Much Hard Work Remains for Dallas ISD

Dallas ISD's lackluster academic performance, as measured against its big-city peers in the just-released Nation's Report Card, is a sobering reminder of how much work is needed on campuses throughout the district.In many categories, DISD's 2017 results on the National Assessment of Educational Progress test, or NAEP, reflect the mediocre trend of flat scores across America.But it's particularly troubling that DISD lagged behind 27 other urban districts, ranking near the bottom in percentage of kids who scored at proficient rates in math and reading in fourth and eighth grades.
