Mechanic Finds 31 Pounds of Cocaine Hidden in Nose of American Airlines Plane

More than $400,000 worth of cocaine was discovered hidden in the nose of an American Airlines plane on Sunday.The flight from Bogotá, Colombia, arrived in Miami on Sunday and was later sent to American's maintenance center at Tulsa International Airport.A mechanic working on the nose gear called authorities after noticing what appeared to be a bricklike object, said Justin Green, spokesman for the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.Investigators eventually found seven bricks of cocaine totaling about 31 pounds.
