Man Tried to Snatch Infant From Grocery Cart at Grand Prairie Kroger, Police Say

Police are searching for a man accused of trying to abduct an infant from a shopping cart Wednesday in the parking lot of a Grand Prairie Kroger.The man approached the child's mother about 6 p.m. in the parking lot in the 300 block of East Pioneer Parkway and tried to take the cart with her child seated in it, police said. He was not successful, and got into the passenger side of an older model black Dodge Ram four-door truck, and fled the scene. The truck had tinted windows, chrome grille and an unreadable paper license plate. The man was described as a heavyset Hispanic man between 50 and 60 years old with a mole under his left eye.
