Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Murdering Estranged Wife While She Sat in Jeep in Southlake

Updated April 27: Revised to include sentence.A Tarrant County jury sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for killing his estranged wife in 2016 while she sat in her Jeep at a red light near the Southlake Town Square. The same jury found 53-year-old Kenneth Martin guilty of murder on Wednesday.Martin has claimed he didn't mean to shoot Linda Martin on May 31, 2016, and his attorneys argued that he should have been found guilty of the lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. The two had just left a divorce mediation meeting with an attorney when witnesses said Kenneth Martin got out of his vehicle, walked up to Linda Martin's SUV and shot her in the face through the window.
