A man hiding his face with an umbrella while robbing a credit union robbery in Carrollton last week may have robbed up to seven other locations around North Texas, police said. About 3:30 p.m. April 10, the man went into the Texans Credit Union in the 3600 block of North Josey Lane and ordered everyone to get on the floor, police said. The man, who had a gun, jumped the counter and later fled in a white four-door sedan with a sun roof, police said. The same man may be responsible for another bank robbery in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in February, and as many as six business robberies in North Texas in the last year.No detailed description of the man was provided as witnesses could see only his neck. He was wearing blue latex gloves, white knee pads, dark pants, a red shirt, camouflage jacket and well-worn black athletic shoes.A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call North Texas Crime Stoppers at 877-373-8477. Continue reading...
