Man Arrested in Slaying of 81-year-old DeSoto Resident Who Was Found Shot in His Pickup

DeSoto police have arrested a man in connection to the slaying of an 81-year-old found shot in his pickup truck on April 15.Milton Davis III, 29, is accused of capital murder in the death of T.C. Grady, a retired airline employee. Davis was booked Saturday at the Dallas County jail, where his bail has been set at $500,000.A man called police earlier this month to report that his father was slumped over his car and that it appeared he had been shot. Police found Grady unconscious in the driver's seat outside his home in the 400 block of Summertree Lane. His wallet was missing, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Officers discovered surveillance footage that showed a man approaching Grady while he was in his car and shooting him multiple times, according to the affidavit.Police released still images of the suspect, and a tipster identified the man as Davis, according to the affidavit. Investigators obtained a search warrant for Davis' cell phone records. Police said they determined that his phone had been in the area where Grady was killed at the time of the offense.
