Man Arrested in Slaying of 19-year-old Shot While Driving in Far East Dallas

A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday in the fatal shooting of a teen who was killed while driving in Far East Dallas. Thomas Hobson's body was found with a gunshot wound when officers responded March 25 to the 11100 block of Cotillion Drive, near Barnes Bridge Road. The 19-year-old's vehicle struck a utility pole and ended up in a front yard, police said. Josue Manuel Castro-Arrida was being held in the Dallas County Jail on a murder charge. Bail has been set at $250,000. Surveillance footage from a nearby home recorded Castro-Arrida sticking his arm out of the rear passenger window of another vehicle and firing at Hobson's vehicle, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.   Continue reading...
