Man Accused by Girlfriend's Family of Dumping Her Body in Dallas Lake Died by Suicide, Autopsy Says

The Grand Prairie man who disappeared in February along with his estranged girlfriend, prompting weeks of searches for them, died by suicide, according to an autopsy report. Alfonso Roderick Hernandez, 28, was found dead in White Rock Lake in February, about six weeks before a kayaker found the body of Weltzin Garcia Mireles in Mountain Creek Lake. Mireles' family said police told them Hernandez strangled the 26-year-old woman and dumped her body in the lake after he had been accused of hitting her.  Continue reading...
