Man, 22, Killed in Drive-by Shooting as He Watched Street Racing in Stemmons Corridor

A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in a drive-by while he was watching street racing in Stemmons Corridor overnight. The man has been identified as Miguel Sotelo-Trujillo. Officers responded to a shooting call in the 4800 block of Leston Avenue, near Regal Row and Irving Boulevard, just after 11:20 p.m. Thursday. They found Sotelo-Trujillo suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died. He and a witness had been watching street racing in the area when an unknown suspect in a passing vehicle shot at their vehicle, Dallas police said. The department is asking or the public's assistance as they investigate this murder. Anyone with information about it is asked to contact Detective E.
