Legacy West Developers Plan for June 2 Grand Opening

With Toyota already moving in just up the street, developers of the $400 million Legacy West Urban Village are gearing up for their grand opening.The retail, office, apartment and hotel complex at the northwest corner of Legacy Drive and the Dallas North Tollway will be the urban core of the $3 billion Legacy West development.The formal debut of the project is set for June 2, with live entertainment, free food and merchant discounts."The only thing better than watching this new magnificent project evolve from ground breaking to grand opening, is seeing fabulous new store and restaurants open and watching people genuinely enjoy the experience we have worked so hard to create," developer Fehmi Karahan said in a statement.Visitors on the opening weekend will get a first look inside Legacy Hall - the 55,000-square-foot restaurant and food hall at the north end of the project, which will open later this year.Restaurants in the project include Bistro 31, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House, Earls Kitchen + Bar, Fogo de Chao, Haywire, Mesero, Shake Shack, Starbucks Reserve, Taverna, True Food Kitchen and Toulouse.Retailers in the Legacy West Urban Village include Bonobos, Coach, Fabletics, Filson, Johnny Was, Peter Millar, Pockets Menswear, Suitsupply, Tesla, Tommy Bahama, TUMI and West Elm.The retail, office and apartment complex is one of the most anticipated sections of the 255-acre Legacy West project.The West Plano development will soon be home to more than 20,000 people working for Toyota, Liberty Mutual Insurance, JPMorgan Chase and FedEx Office.  Continue reading...
