Lady of Guadalupe's Followers Find Answered Prayers Through Dallas-area Groups

Elena Garcia points to a hopeless time in her life 13 years ago as the reason for her undying devotion to the Lady of Guadalupe. At that time, her marriage of 15 years was crumbling and her premature newborn daughter’s lungs and heart were failing.When a woman from her parish offered to have her Legion of Mary group bring an image of the Virgin and lead a novena, a nine-day worship of special prayers, at her home, she said she immediately agreed.She hoped prayers to the Lady of Guadalupe would help heal her daughter."We delivered all of our problems to her," Garcia said in Spanish. “We started to pay attention to the prayers where it said we had to forgive one another.
