The Japan America Society of Dallas Fort Worth hosted another successful Sun & Star Legacy Award Dinner on Thursday at the Omni Frisco Hotel. The event drew nearly 500 guests and generous sponsors, include Toyota, 7-Eleven Inc. and American Airlines.Interest in the nonprofit, which fosters goodwill between North Texas and Japan, has grown in recent years with Toyota and other Japanese companies moving to the area.Hosted by Sylvia Komatsu of KERA, the evening began with remarks from honorary host Tetsuo Ogawa of Toyota Motor North America.
